Our team's motto is NERD!
It's an acronym for this season: "Never Ending Robotics Dream." Absolute Zero-8808 received the Global Innovation Award at First LEGO League Virginia State Competition on December 7th, 2019, in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Each year, all FIRST® LEGO® League teams with exemplary Projects in the annual Challenge theme have the opportunity to compete for a chance at the Global Innovation Award. They’re nominated by their home regions, and the top 20 semi-finalist teams are invited to a multi-day event filled with judging, workshops, fun, and inspiration. During the process, teams keep working on their Projects and explore factors for implementing them.Our goal is to secure one of the 20 semi-finalist spots for the 10th Annual Global Innovation Awards June 7-9th, 2020, at Disney World's Contemporary Resort and World Showcase, Epcot.

Next up was State Competition!
Absolute Zero not only won first place in the state competition for Innovative Solutions, but it was one of only two teams chosen as winners of Global Innovation. (There were 600 teams nominated.)
